The course is structured as a series of daily emails, spread out over a 28 day period. Each day will cover some component of preparation, organized into something that can be digested gradually over a period of time. The point of this is to provide content that can be assimilated at an accessible pace, as well as to provide some daily inspiration for your own applied preparatory homework.
This curriculum is meant to not only be informative, but to give practical tools that you can apply before your journey to make the most of the plant medicine experience. Although there is nothing wrong with taking the course for academic purposes, it’s designed to be not just intellectual, but a resource for applied practice.
Check your spam folder! Many email services flag these emails as spam initially. If you find the emails in your spam folder, just click “mark as safe sender” and hopefully your system will whitelist the email account that these emails are sent from.
The course is run by donation. In the signup page, there is an optional donation form that will allow you to chose an amount to donate. A recommended donation is $15, but you are welcome to sign up without making a donation if you’d prefer.
There are no requirements for signing up, and you are welcome to enroll just to learn more about psilocybin and what a preparation process can look like.
The course assumes you are a newbie to the psychedelic realm, so there is no need to have prior experience before signing up.
The emails are designed to be about a 5-10 minute read each day. Some of the bigger topics are divided up into multiple days, just to space out the content somewhat. The applied practice is open-ended and non-directive, but maintaining some form of introspective practice alongside the curriculum is strongly recommended. The course offers plenty of suggestions of introspective tools and approaches for you to play with on your own.
There are a handful of “rest” days woven in to allow catching up if you’ve fallen behind.
No. The course is really meant to support the work you are doing with an experienced guide, not replace it.
The course is designed to both give you all of the information you might need before a journey, as well as provide continuity and practices to build momentum before you dive in. So, the spirit of the course is to end right around when your journey is due to take place, though there is nothing wrong with taking the course further in advance. In general, the course will assume that you are planning to take a medium to large macro dose of psilocybin within 30 to 60 days of having started this course.
